I recently had the pleasure of shooting promo images for the hilarious Susan Riddell’s upcoming show, “Duvet Day”. Already an established comedy writer and performer for the BBC Writers’ Room, Susan will be performing Duvet Day at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, championing the virtues of laziness in an increasingly manic world. Tickets are on sale now!

You can follow Susan on Twitter to find more of her upcoming work (including an upcoming comedy series alongside fellow comedian Rachel Jackson!).

Just in time for the Fringe 2016, I’m offering reduced rates for performers and artists looking to get new promotional images or portraits!

1 hour shoot with 5 fully edited images for £75.

Offer applies to any shoot booked from now until the 12th of August. First block of shooting dates is from now until August 12th and then from August 23rd—31st. I’m based in Glasgow but can also travel to Edinburgh for an additional £20, and am happy to split travel costs between multiple clients if booked for the same date.

My photographs have been used to market some of the world’s leading brands – from Japan Airlines to Virgin Active – and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s best theatre and cabaret artists to promote their work. You can contact me over on Facebook, or at mark[at]markliddell.co.uk with details and concepts. I’m looking forward to hearing from you! 📷

This summer, I spent a fantastic week as resident photographer for Silhouette Burlesque, part of the Edinburgh Fringe 2013. This was, coincidentally, the same week my laptop broke, which is why I’m sharing pictures from the first week of August in the first week of October. Silhouette Burlesque ran for 22 consecutive nights at the Tron Kirk, each night seeing a different, all-star line-up of burlesque beauties, cabaret curiosities, circus stars and musical interludes.
