John’s all-time favourite movie is the original Helen Slater Supergirl (I’m not exaggerating when I say that he knows it word-for-word), so for his birthday this year I commissioned the incredible IBTrav to create this original artwork. (Yes, the same IBTrav whose artwork I used for my tattoo!) I was so excited when I received this amazing finished design that my biggest struggle was not showing it to John the second it arrived! 💙❤️️

Commissioned portrait of the very talented Scottish artist Maureen Rocksmoore for a publication in Italy. Her studio is housed inside the beautiful Briggait building in Glasgow’s Merchant City, which made the perfect backdrop to this photo.

You can see more of Maureen’s work – including her dramatic sykscapes – over on her Facebook page and on her official website.

I’ve wanted to try this for a while now, and – with Episode VII just around the corner – this seemed like the best possible year for it!

More photos under the cut!
