A few of the less “official” wedding snaps.

UK weddings are rarely a “sunglasses” sort of affair so this was definitely a novelty.

John snapped this photo of me on duty/desperately willing myself not to fall in the pool.

Lady of the hour!

John was especially taken with one of Jez’s guests: the lovely Vanessa, who – as he continued to tell us for the rest of the weekend – “laughed with her whole heart.”

So enamoured was he, in fact, that I appear to have an absolute wealth of photos of them together…

…the entire length…

…of the wedding. Even the videographer is getting in on the action!

As the sun set, and their conversation continued, there was only one thing left to do – mock John for the rest of the weekend over his continued effusive praise (for the record, she was lovely, I’m just an asshole), leading to the invention of the following song – sung to the tune of “Everything is Awesome” from the Lego Movie:

♪ Everything’s Vanesssaaaa
Everything is cool when you’re with a ‘Nessa,
Eeeeverything’s Vaneeesssaaaaaa…
…when you laugh with your whole heart! ♫

With the happy couple.

Wenny! Who told me I was working too hard and made it her personal mission to get me drunk. A woman after my own heart.

Jez told us afterwards that it was a harsh return to reality when she didn’t have a team doing all of this for her in the days that followed, haha.

Our villa that night…

…where I had a run in with this adorable crustacean companion!
