The West End Festival presents a spectacular light and sound experience at the Botanic Gardens here in Glasgow. You can see my photos from the original event here.

(As with the last incarnation of the Electric Gardens, I was reminded the entire night of Joel Schumacher’s tastefully restrained take on the Batman franchise.)

This tree was straight out of TRON.

Kim missed out on the event back in February, which was why she was so keen to see its revival. I will say that this particular version of the Electric Gardens felt somewhat scaled back in comparison to February’s (a good swathe of the Botanics was blocked off entirely, including the abandoned subway tunnels which had been a firm favourite of everyone last time round) but it was undeniably beautiful and – if you didn’t catch it the first time round – it’s unlikely to disappoint.

Pour France.

And defrosting afterwards with a peanut butter hot chocolate at Crêpe á Croissant.
