John, practising a post-apocalyptic make-up look ahead of tonight’s show. His double-life as a pathologist slash “hair and make-up guru” was given a substantial write-up in a recent issue of The Glaswegian, which you can read right here.

Also: a very literal moment of calm before the chaos. This was taken the day we shot the video; the filming of which came to an abrupt end when we were chased out of the factory by a disgruntled vagrant screaming at us never to come back. As if this weren’t scarring enough for poor Kim (who’d made her escape barefoot and in a flimsy, transparent dress), we then got home to discover…

…that he’d been lurking in the background for a good portion of the shoot. (Please note the shadow-y, vaguely terrifying figure just to the left of her face). Needless to say it took some coercion to make her do some pick-ups the following week.

Trailer for the post-apocalyptic cabaret show, coming this Saturday July 20th to the Virginia Gallery, Glasgow. Advance tickets are available until Friday for £7.50, or you can get tickets on the door for £8 on the night. Each ticket includes two complimentary doses of antidote. Doors 7:30, show begins at 8:00.
